Advocacy For Hope — a poem for Willie
Here is a superpower
we might sometimes call it magic
but with empathy and the desire to help heal
we are advocates of hope. . .
So while society might want you to think,
there is no light amongst the dulling greys,
here is a moment, here is a human
who has a heart with something to say. . .
He knows its not fair, he will never dare deny the unjust . . .
but trust, with him, with love
that with resilience and a mindset of light all — any one and you,
may break through the shadows that confine,
so you may find the hope you truly deserve.
